The San Francisco Main Library has many old San Francisco newspapers on
microfilm. You can write to them to request a lookup at no charge. They
will check up to 6 days after the death date. You MUST provide the
following:
* Exact date of death
* Self–addressed, stamped envelope There is a limit of three lookup requests at one time for California residents and one per month for non residents.
